Nicky was born in London. She's actually a Cockney
(that is born within the sound of the Bow Bells) by accident. The
ambulance driver who was taking her mother to hospital in North London
got lost and they ended up in the East End. She has a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Brunel University, and a PGDip in Information Management from Queen Margarets University. She married AJ in December 1992. She works as an Internet Librarian at Heriot Watt University and a Technical Librarian at Harley Haddow Consulting Engineers, and is also a full time mother of two. Previous jobs have included electronic engineer and technical writer.
